Blogging, or the lack thereof

I've been seriously shit at keeping this blog updated. The problem is that when I am out and about, i.e. away from my laptop, I have many things to talk about because I am always thinking about something, but once I am sat back in front of this thing I am talking to people or watching something or cruising through pages that the wonderful Stumble Upon brings me.

So. Must engage brain and talk about SOMETHING. Nothing has been of irritation of late, so there'll be no ranting. Maybe just rambling.

I walked 9 miles total yesterday. There's something to talk about. I've been selling some things on ebay and the nearest post office, since they all seem to be closing now, is four miles away. So that was an eight mile round trip and then I took the dog out through the woods and fields afterwards. My legs are somewhat achey today, to say the least.

Oh yeah, and I am living in the countryside again now. See:

Thankfully, yesterday it was sunny so although I was fairly high in temperature all the way there, at least it wasn't cold or raining. I've missed the friendliness of the countryside. Everyone I bumped into said 'hello' or 'nice day!' with a big smile. I've never got that in a city. Everyone closes down and ignores each other as though every other person is a threat or something. I do it myself. And there's something amusing about jumping onto a bank or into a gateway and smiling at the cars passing me in the country lanes (especially as one of them looked like a squashed, shortened pick-up truck!).

Some people in cars have yet to learn 'countryside etiquette', if you like, such as the people with flash cars who refuse to drive anywhere near the hedge. You kind of have to dear, when the road is like this:

What would you rather have; a bit of tree on your car, maybe a little scratch, or paying for me to have some new toes?

My mind has drawn a blank now, so I'm wandering back to Stumble Upon ;)
