Blank Mind
I really want to update this blog more often. I seem to have lost the inspiration since moving to Portsmouth to be with the boy over a year ago. Maybe I just don't have a lot to rant about anymore, or I have less time to consider what it is that I wish to rant about.
I may go back to how I began this blog (for the third or fourth time) which was to google some writer's block sites and find suggestions for topics to talk about.
Today, I am mostly going to play Sims 3, though, I believe.

Three months...
...since I last updated. That's rather appalling and I can only apologise if anyone has noticed this fact XD
Three days after my last update, I began a relationship with a man, who ironically I have known for three years today, and have since moved to Hampshire to live with him. That's my excuse for my absence on here.
I will return, when I am so inspired to do so.

Trash Hologram
I couldn't think of a better subject line, so I just used the title of the song I am listening to.
Hello, Blogger. It's been another few weeks since I last updated, and I know that in that last update I promised a further one. I'm here, I'm just a little late.
I'm struggling to be inspired to write in here, this is the problem. I'm no longer playing aforementioned MMORPG, so I do have the time to construct something worthwhile. It's just that there is nothing worthwhile to be constructed. Ha.
So, what we will have today will just be some waffle that I deign good enough to be here.
I am seeing Blur next week, on both Thursday and Friday at Hyde Park in London. I have heard good things about the support bands, which are as follows:
Thursday:
Foals, Friendly Fires, Crystal Castles and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble
Friday:
Vampire Weekend, Amadou & Mariam, Florence And The Machine, and Deerhoof.
Honestly, I have never listened to ANY of those bands, so I have downloaded a bunch of tracks to at least get me up to speed with a few songs, so I won't feel quite so moronic when I don't recognise any. Though, on the other hand, I have been to many a gig where I have been clueless as to who the support are and have still found myself to be dancing.
I'm very excited and anticipatory of these two gigs. I never saw Blur the first time around. I was probably too young, anyway. I think it will be quite epic. I am also excited because I get to spend time with two good friends that I don't get to see often enough, and also the man that I am seeing is coming to the Friday gig. Fabulous.
Usually, being with a better half, would somewhat put me off being my dance-y self, but I think with this one I need not feel shame at my poor jigging skills. One can only hope, anyway :)
After spending two days in wonderful London, I will be spending Saturday, Sunday and part of Monday in Portsmouth with the aforementioned boy and another friend that lives there. I have never visited Portsmouth, before, so I am also quite excited about that.
That is really all that I have of interest to spout today. Perhaps I will make some sort of *thought cloud* or whatever it is that's the PC way of saying it, and come back to you.

I've been amiss
Wow, so I am lame at updating this lately. It's been a month! I've gotten myself addicted to a game I played a couple of years ago. It's a shamefully childish MMORPG, that seems to be mainly populated by 14 year old Finnish kids, but I like it.

New found respect
This article on the BBC News website has just made me smile.
Well said, Sir Parkinson. This is exactly what I have been saying since Jade was diagnosed.

Bible-bashing and post ladies

I was rudely awakened by 'Jehovah's' witnesses this morning. I didn't know it was them at until I wandered to the door in pajamas and a sleepy daze. I didn't recognise the shape at the door, so I didn't answer it and then a leaflet came through the door. I wish now that I had answered the door. I don't understand why these people think they have the right to come to my house and preach to me about 'god' and 'Jesus'.
The post lady, Julie, arrived some five minutes later and I answered the door to sign for a package. I asked her if she had noticed the bible-bashers and she told me that last week in a neighbouring village, there had been four cars of them and that they'd tried to talk to her. She said that she didn't understand what gave them the right either, and why don't they just get a proper job? She also quite rightly pointed out that there is a church at the top of the hill, and if people wanted to go there, then they could whenever they wanted and didn't need forcing into it.
I got dressed and went outside for a cigarette and found it hard resisting going and talking to them, as they're parked right across the street. I don't know if I would've gotten angry or if I'd have just told them about my theories on the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Maybe I could've given them a leaflet about atheism and seen how they would appreciate it.

Alice In Wonderland

I've been doing some reading up on the Alice in Wonderland movie that is coming out next year and I really couldn't be more excited! I am simply in awe of the cast line up that Tim Burton has managed to achieve.
Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter is just fantastic. Johnny Depp is so diverse. I love all of the films I have seen him in, which is probably about 90% of the ones he's actually been in.
I can't see Anne Hathaway as The White Queen. I can't see Anne as anything but the girl in The Devil Wears Prada, but I am open to it.
Helena Bonham-Carter is a given, as always, but I love her and expect great things of her in everything she does. I also can't wait for the next Harry Potter movie.
Alan Rickman as The Caterpillar. I LOVE Alan Rickman. No, really.
Michael Sheen as The White Rabbit. I've never seen him in anything, but ironically, he was on The Jonathan Ross show tonight and seemed quite humorous.
Crispin Glover as The Nave of Hearts. George McFly from Back To The Future! I'm intrigued by this as I've never seen the guy in anything else.
Stephen Fry as The Cheshire Cat. Just squee!
Matt Lucas as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - just perfect!
This is one movie I would actually pay to go and see, and I don't do that often. I hope that the girl playing Alice works out okay. I trust Tim Burton :)
