If you're from the South did you find it difficult to understand him at first?

And after reading the post about Harry Potter i'd recommend you read the book 'I am legend'. The book is much better then the film. The film misses the point, all the action of the book is at night and the film does the opposite. In the book Neville turns his home into a fortress for a reason and I think you'd like it better.

Understand who? My flatmate? I come from Leeds originally so I understand him just fine, ha.

I've been told to read that before... apparently it's a lot darker too. I'll get hold of it from the library or a friend.

It'd be worth it. In the book they attack his 'home' every night- banging on the doors, the shutters, calling out to him 'NEVILLE!' etc. To get through that every night he listens to classical music and drinks whiskey. I didn't understand why the film didn't show any of that? There's a scene where he compares one of the vampires to an old comic celeb while resting his back on a door they are attacking and he laughs uncontrolably and then it turns to tears. But as you said, films are never as good as the book
