Inspiration?

I have had no inspiration whatsoever to write in this blog lately, so this is mostly off the top of my head.

I came on a bus to my father's house last week, after my friend's funeral (which went well and was surreal), and I wondered why they do not have seatbelts on local buses. They have them on National Express coaches and if you travel on one of these then the driver reminds you that it is the law to wear a seatbelt. The official word, according to the direct.gov site, is that if a seatbelt is provided then you must wear it (with some exceptions).

I've always hated wearing seatbelts on coaches because I can't get comfortable, but I always do wear them. On a local bus it feels totally normal to not wear a seatbelt, but in a car it feels wrong.

Some local buses around here travel on motorways. Surely they should have seatbelts if the National Express coaches travel on motorways and have them.

It doesn't bother me so much, I was just pondering the other day.

Last night I watched Slumdog Millionaire. It was not what I was expecting at all, if I am honest, but that's probably because I only scanned the blurb I saw online. It's probably not something that I would watch again but it was pretty good. I couldn't help thinking of Dev Patel as Anwar from Skins.

Today I watched Definitely, Maybe on Sky. Blah. I was expecting to love this movie but I was seriously disappointed in the ending. I wanted him to get with April, which he did, but in the time between seeing her last and meeting her again, he had a kid with the other woman who cheated on him with his roommate... What. If you loved this April woman (who wouldn't, Isla Fisher) then why not pursue her. So many films lately have disappointed me with their endings. American Gangster and Superbad off the top of my head.

That'll be all.
